The FA WSL 2 promotion race ep 1

We have now reached a quarter of the season Matchday 5 out of 18, so let’s have a look at the promotion contenders results this week-end.

Millwall 0 Yeovil 4

Aston Villa 2 Durham 0

Everton 5 London Bees 1

Watford 0 Bristol 2

 

6 th placed Millwall chances of promotion took a big hit with a 4-0 home defeat to Yeovil, they trail Bristol by 8 points and Everton, so will need a big run of wins to get closer to the top 2 teams.

5th placed Aston Villa beat another promotion contender Durham 2-0 and are closing on the top 2 places, 4 points behind Bristol and a point behind Everton.

4th placed Durham lost their frist game of the season at Villa and are also in a good position with 9 points trailing Bristol by 4 and Everton by 1.

3rd placed yeovil went top of the League on Saturday evening with their 4-0 away win at Millwall. Bristol and Everton overtook them since but they are level on points with Everton and 3 points behind Bristol.

2nd placed Everton beat London Bees to climb up the table, they are 3 points behind Bristol with a game in hand and therefore virtual leaders.

Top of the table Bristol won at Watford and are still unbeaten like Everton.
