FA WSL 2 Matchday 3 preview

Matchday 3 in the FA WSL 2 and many intriguing games at the top and the bottom of the table.

Sheffield (8) v Aston Villa (6)

Sheffield at home will want to collect their first win after coming back with an excellent draw from Bristol. It would be their first win in the FA WSL.

Villa had a good cup run and have a win and a defeat so far in the League like most team in the division will be looking towards the top 2 places.

Oxford (10) v Durham (1)

Top versus bottom. Durham with the only 1005 record in the League against an Oxford side who an score a lot of goals and leak a few as well. Definitely an open game expected with goals aplenty and a great entertainment.

Everton (3) v Watford (7)

An unbeaten title contender against a team that is quickly improving from last season. Everton should win but will have to be careful as Watford made a lot of signing to improve from last season’s bottom place and are starting to develop some good attacking football.

Can they prevent Everton who have some quality attacking players from scoring though ?

London Bees (9) v Bristol City (4)

Dave Edmondson against his former side will be an intriguing contest. Bristol are title contenders while London Bees like bristol have recruited many players and are improving from last season.

Have they improved enough to derail Bristol’s title charge that was slowed down by Sheffield in the previous game. With Yeovil and Millwall playing each other, one of these teams will drop points if not both and Bristol will need to capitalise on it.

Yeovil (5) v Millwall (2)

Title contender against a suprising early runner for promotion. Yeovil have promotion ambitions and will be looking to climb up the table against a Millwall side that was rebuilt and looks very different from the one that finished ninth last season. Rebecca Sawiuk has signed many quality players and the team seemed to have gelled very quickly.

It should be a tight entertaining contest with a lot of goals.
