The FA WSL 2 promotion race is entering the final straight and we will have a probable title decider on Saturday between Reading Women and Doncaster Belles.
Matchday 15 fixtures :
Reading (2) v Doncaster (1)
London Bees (9) v Watford (10)
Durham (7) v Yeovil (3)
Everton (4) v Aston Villa(5)
Millwall (8) v Oxford (6)
Here are the maximum points the teams can reach in the competition. Six teams are still in the promotion race at the moment and four in the title race.
6 Oxford United current 18 pts -11 maximum 34 pts could still finish runner-up if Reading does not get more than a point in five game
5 Aston Villa current 18 pts 0 maximum 34 pts could still finish runner-up if Reading does not get more than a point in five game
4 Everton Ladies current 21 pts + 13 maximum 42 pts could finish in the top two positions
3 Yeovil Town current 24 pts +13 maximum 39 pts could finish in the top two positions
The two teams in the promotion places :
2 Reading Women current 32 pts + 37 maximum 47 pts
1 Doncaster Belles current 34 pts + 34 maximum 49 pts
Doncaster need eight points in five games to guarantee promotion and Reading need ten points in five games to guarantee it as well. Should the Belles come back with a point or three from their trip to Reading, they will be very close to the title and promotion.
The four chasing teams will hope for a draw between the top teams so that they can reduce the gap by two points should those four teams manage to win their game as well.
