*2 games to play

Birmingham likely to go through as group winners, they need a point against Villa or with a defeat, need Yeovil not to catch up the 18 goal difference gap… The Glovers would be likely to qualify with 2 wins either as group winners or best runner-up. Villa and Notts County could also end up as runner-up.

Best possible runner-up ranking :

1. Liverpool 12 pts +22

2. Birmingham 12 pts +19

3. Sunderland 10 pts +7

4. Chelsea 7 pts +2

5. Reading 7 pts -3

6. Yeovil* 6 pts +1

*2 games to play

Overall  1 team is already through : Arsenal, 2 teams are likely to win their group Liverpool and Birmingham. Sunderland only need a draw to finish best runner-up unless Yeovil manages top reach 12 points. Chelsea and Reading are banking on Sunderland loosing heavily to Liverpool on final day to have a change of going through as well as Yeovil not reaching 12 points.

The postponed games in group 3 are schedule for the 15th of February Yeovil v Oxford and Notts County v Villa.
