FA WSL Game day 4 preview

Doncaster v Liverpool P-P by the FA

No reason disclosed apparently, but suggestion that it was done to protect the FA Cup final pitch.

Everton v Birmingham

Everton are on the up after their recent away win at Lincoln and seem to have integrated  the new signings very quickly.Birmingham still unbeaten in the League but with 2 draws in 2 games, there is an urgent need to get 3 points not to let Chelsea and Liverpool get away. Both teams have good attacking players, so it should be an attacking game. My prediction 2-2

Lincoln v Arsenal

Lincoln need points as 1 in 3 games is a poor return for a team with a good budget and ambition like Lincoln. They are hard to beat at home and those games v Arsenal don’t generate many goals. Lincoln strong point being the defensive organisation and 4 England stars. Arsenal league form so far has been poor. Only one game played of course but a 4-0 defeat at home to Liverpool was a surprise. It might be costly in term of goal difference as well at the end of the season. As the two teams need points, I would say 1-1 draw.

Bristol v Chelsea

2 unbeaten teams, Bristol with 2 wins in 2 and Chelsea having dethroned Liverpool on Sunday, it should be an open game with both side trying to play. Jakobsson and Aluko are in form for Chelsea while Natalia, Del Rio and Harding with provide spark for Bristol. I expect another draw with plenty of goal 3-3.

This season the team have all improved or slightly stagnated which means nearly all the games are competitive unlike the 2 previous seasons  and we should definitely see some surprises in the final table compared to the last 2 seasons.
